Dr. Perry H. Maerov, FRCS (C)

Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Canada

Dr. Maerov obtained his medical degree from the University of Alberta and completed his post-graduate training in Ophthalmology at Queens University in 1974. Dr. Maerov serves as the Medical Director and Chief Surgeon at London Eye Centre. He has been in private practice as a cataract and refractive surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist, for the last 30 years. Dr. Maerov is also on the teaching staff in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of British Columbia.

 

Dr. Raymond H. Hollands, FRCS (C)

Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Canada

Dr. Hollands graduated in medicine from the University of Western Ontario and completed his post-graduate studies in ophthalmology at UBC, as well as specialty training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Dr. Hollands has practiced in Vancouver for over 25 years, most of this time also serving as a clinical professor in UBC's Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Hollands has been performing refractive laser surgery for over ten years and has carried out over twenty thousand successful procedures.

 

Dr. James Miller, FRCS (C)

Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Canada

A conscientious and dedicated eye surgeon, he has been performing refractive, corneal and cataract surgery in British Columbia for 30 years. Dr. Miller is a clinical investigator and has presented his research at many international laser eye surgery conferences. Dr. Miller, like many other eye specialists, chose the 'No Touch'™ method to correct his own myopia in 1997.

 

Dr. David R.S. Neima, FRCS (C)

Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Canada

Dr. Neima graduated Cum Laud in Medicine in 1977 at the Dalhousie Medical School and completed his training in Ophthalmology in 1986. Dr. Neima has served as Chief Surgeon and Medical Director for the former Gimbel Eye Centre in Vancouver and has trained many surgeons in the area of refractive laser surgery. Dr. Neima has extensive experience with Lasik and surface techniques and has carried out over 15,000 successful procedures.

 

Laser Eye Surgeon, Dr. Suren SanmugasunderamDr. Suren Sanmugasunderam, FRCS (C)

Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Canada

Dr. Suren Sanmugasunderam obtained his medical degree from the University of Ottawa and completed his post-graduate studies in ophthalmology at the University of British Columbia. Suren has been a cataract and refractive surgeon since 1995. He is on the teaching faculty at UBC, is a past-president of the BC Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and is a section editor for the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology.

Laser Eye Surgeon, Dr. Jesse ChewDr. Jesse Chew, FRCS (C)

Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Canada

Dr. Chew is a respected eye physician and surgeon in Vancouver, British Columbia. He attained his medical degree and Royal College of Canada Certification in Ophthalmology from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Chew gained expertise in ocular biodevices and therapeutics during his fellowship at the world renowned Moran Eye Center, University of Utah. He currently is a Clinical Assistant Professor at both the University of Utah and UBC.  Dr. Chew has performed thousands of ocular surgeries, with a focus on cataract and refractive laser surgery. He performs both 'No touch' PRK and Intralase SBK at London Eye Centre in New Westminster.
